Victoria Ray, is the former coordinator and current council member of the Forsyth County Drug Awareness Council, working under Director Tammy Nicholson to serve the county in its drug prevention efforts. Currently, Victoria is a psychology student at Georgia State University and is a certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist (CARES).

Having lived in Forsyth County most of her life and graduated from South Forsyth High School in 2012, Victoria knows the firsthand the damage that drugs cause in her hometown and the effect they have had on her own life. As a person in long term recovery, she hopes to inform and empower others with her message of strength and hope. By working with the FCDAC and in the prevention field, she hopes to prevent others from undergoing the same battles that she has gone through, and is happy to take on her responsibility to support the mission of the Council to educate, advocate, and empower her community.

“I learned that you can always recover and that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.”

“The best speaker I’ve heard about drugs… I will always remember you.”
